‘Bachelor’ Crew Member Describes Disturbing Allegation Of Sexual Misconduct

A Bachelor In Paradise crew member, who claims to have witnessed the alleged non-consensual sexual encounter between contestant DeMario Jackson and a woman PEDESTRIAN.TV has chosen not to name, has given more details on the reported misconduct.

Production on the show was halted after a producer claimed the woman was too intoxicated to consent to sexual activity with Jackson. Speaking to The Daily Mail, a crew member now says the woman was “on a whole other level” of intoxication, and at one point she struggled to stand.

The crew member claims that after Jackson and the woman were informed a potential hook-up between them would form one of the show’s storylines, they decided to bond over drinks. After getting into a jacuzzi, “there was hugging and kissing and touching, but before long, she seemed to go limp and was sliding under water.”

The source alleges that after Jackson “appeared to have intercourse” with the woman, he “lifted her out of the water and laid her on the cement, where he proceeded to have oral sex with her” while “she appeared to be unconscious.”

It’s claimed it was only then a crew member arrived on the scene to walk the woman back to her room. The source alleges that while the woman was visibly impaired, nobody on set called a doctor or a paramedic, and that “instead someone made the decision to just let her sleep it off.”

The woman said she did not have any recollection of the night’s events, the source claims.

According to the source, potential legal action is in the works against the show’s producers, on the grounds that they did not adequately protect the woman in that situation.

Earlier, TMZ cited a source claiming that cast members had spoken to production staff about the woman’s intoxication, but “the crew did not heed their warnings.” However, another production source claimed no contestant approached the crew to say the woman was “too drunk to form an intent to have sexual contact with DeMario.”

Chris Harrison, the show’s host, has also released a statement on the issue. He writes “there are a lot of competing details in the various press accounts of the incident. And there’s a lot of misinformation out there too. We urge everyone to be patient until [the Warner Bros.] investigation is complete.”

He says the production company is “moving quickly to gather all the facts, and once that’s done a clear concise decision can be made about where we go from here.”
