The News International reports that a 21-year-old fan in China named Xiaoli cried so hard at the conclusion of the movie that she started hyperventilating.

The Marvel fan reportedly started having trouble breathing, so she was rushed to the hospital where she was given oxygen.

“I saw that the patient had been breathing heavily, and according to the description from her peers, we thought that she her crying had caused ‘hyperventilation,’ ” an emergency doctor told the publication.

“We immediately gave her oxygen and relaxed her emotions by appeasement, reducing her hyperventilation symptoms.”

The report comes just after a man was allegedly beaten up out the front of a cinema in Hong Kong for shouting spoilers at a line of people who were waiting to see the film.

Per reports in Deadline, members of the crowd turned on the man, who was left bloodied and sitting on the street, waiting for medical assistance.

A photo of the supposed victim has since been circulating online. Some have questioned the authenticity of the incident, although according to AsiaOne, others have come forward on social media saying they were at the cinema entrance when it occurred.

Before the release of Avengers: Endgame, filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo released a letter to fans, asking those who see the movie not to spoil the plot for others, who have yet to do so.

Avengers: Endgame is in cinemas now.
