Someone Redirected The ‘Avengers: Endgame’ URL To Deadpool’s Chrissie Flick

Once Upon a Deadpool

It hasn’t even been a day since the highly-anticipated Avengers: Endgame trailer hit the internet and already, Deadpool or someone on behalf of the merc is up to his usual antics. This time, by jumping on the Avengers: Endgame URL and redirecting it to the official Once Upon A Deadpool page.

It might take a couple of ‘refreshes’ (or maybe my internet’s just shitty) but whacking in AvengersEndgame.com really does come up with the Christmas film.

Interestingly, Reynolds hasn’t posted anything about the URL to his social media accounts – like he usually does. Instead, someone else has claimed ownership of the stunt.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Twitter user @AGuyInChair revealed he is the man behind the website as well as AvengersEndgameMovie.com. However, he’s not set on keeping them.

“I want to trade them for tickets to the #AvengersEndgame premiere in LA. A guy can dream, can’t he?” he shared.

Well, that’s one bloody way to get your hands on some tickets.

Curious, The Hollywood Reporter shot the guy a DM about the whole thing and as it turns out, this Twitter user – who would like to remain anonymous – had known about the film’s very secret title since April of this year. He also insisted that he is not Reynolds in disguise.

Hmm.

As for the real Reynolds/Deadpool, well I’d wait and see if anything happens because let’s be real, something probably will go down even if it’s just a retweet. Upon Deadpool 2’s release in cinemas earlier this year, the actor fully trolled the Russo Brothers by mocking their letter urging fans to please not spoil the film. Cast your minds back to the time and you’ll remember #ThanosDemandsYourSilence was a thing.

Deadpool’s version? #WadeWilsonDemandsYourSisterSorryStupidAutoCorrectSilence.

Then there was the handful of Infinity War jokes delightfully sprinkled throughout the actual sequel.

Anywhoo, Once Upon A Deadpool is really just the PG-13 version of the sequel… with Fred Savage.

Really.

In a recent interview with Ellen, Reynolds explained he wanted to make a Christmas movie that children and parents can enjoy together.

Why? Because “I have seen Frozen with my daughters so, so many times and people don’t know this – a lot of parents know this – but if you play Frozen backwards, it’s actually a shot-to-shot remake of The Exorcist.”

He is an absolute delight.

Once Upon A Deadpool will hit cinemas in Australia, December 13.
