Australian Actress Essie Davis Cast In ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season Six

At this point, Game Of Thrones season six has sprung more leaks than poor Jon Snow (RIP Jon Snow).

Last week, some Sneaky Pete with a drone captured aerial footage of one of the show’s sets, and overnight, after set photos leaked, the network confirmed the casting of Aussie actress Essie Davis.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Davis portray an actress in a travelling theatre troupe in Braavos; in the play-within-a-show, she will portray a version of Cersei Lannister, in a production called The Bloody Hand.
The Tasmanian-born Davis starred in the critically-acclaimed The Babadook, and appeared in the original TV series of The Slap, as well as portraying the title character in Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.
The sixth season of Thrones has already added some high-profile names to its cast, including Richard E. Grant, Ian McShane, Max Von Sydow and Freddie Stroma.

Stroma, otherwise known as the abs guy in Pitch Perfect and Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter, will play Dickon Tarly, the more conventionally hot brother of Samwell Tarly.
