Aussie Saw Director Delivers Scares In New Trailer

Director of the gruesome Saw franchise that became the defining movies from which the genre ‘torture-porn’ was coined, and thus the only non-criminal Australian to be world-renowned for heinous psychotic killings, James Wan has served up the first trailer for his new movie The Conjuring.
The horror film revolves around a family whose rural farmhouse becomes terrorised by demons. Sounds like pretty much every other Paranormal Activity/Amityville Horror-style scary date movie, right? Well, we’re hoping not. The trailer proves to be pretty chilling already, and seems to be taken from one tiny section of the movie, leaving much more hopefully outrageous content to shock us in cinemas. Ed and Lorraine Warren, a couple of paranomal investigators and the protagonists in this story, don’t even appear in the trailer which give it that much more intrigue.
The Conjuring stars Vera Farmiga (Up In the Air) and Patrick Wilson (Insidious) and will be hitting Australian cinemas September 2013.
