Aussie PR Firm’s Reality TV Rumours

Sydney-based fashion public relations firm Sweaty Betty is rumoured to be the setting for a new documentary style reality tv show.

Self-professed “PR queen” Roxy Jacenko and her team of publicist minions were spotted at various pre-Christmas functions with a camera crew in tow and and we’ve heard (via anonymous little birds, of course) that their office will soon be wired up for filming 24-7 to capture the behind-the-scenes day to day of a high profile PR house.

When Whitney and LC from The Hills stopped idly chatting working at boring Teen Vogue and started working for massive fashion PR agency People’s Revolution it was like a breath of fresh air. (Actually, less like a “breath” and more like an open palm bitch slap.) Their no bullshit cranky bitch of a boss Kelly Cutrone and her deadpan barbs (“if you have to cry go outside”) became the best thing about the entire series – to the extent that she eventually landed her own show called Kel On Earth. How’s that for a PR strategy?

If the Sweaty Betty office has a few key characters: amusing bitch, office slut with low-self esteem, outspoken well-dressed gay man, genuinely irritating person that the audience will love to hate, and an underdog character with good camera face (think the Tim character from ‘The Office’) then this show might have a shot at getting an audience.

Would you watch it though?
