Aus ‘Survivor’ Finally Has A S2 Airdate, Will Air Finale Live For 1st Time

Get out the tiki torches and whack on your brightly-coloured headband as the Aussie version of the greatest reality TV show of all time, ‘Survivor’, finally has an airdate for its highly anticipated second season.

Once again chucking a bunch of Aussies on a deserted island and forcing them to physically and politically outwit eachother whilst wasting away on a diet of mostly sand, ‘Australian Survivor‘ will get its second attempt at matching the glory of the long-running US version, with season two premiering Sunday July 30th.

Rugged Daddy-type Johnathon LaPaglia will be returning as host, putting those delectable muscles to good use with torch-snuffing aplenty, with season two also set to introduce the approach that the US has used for the past 33 out of its 34 seasons (no, I am not joking), with the final jury winner reveal to be a live studio event.
The first season of the Channel Ten reboot was criticised for going against the grain and filming a pre-recorded finale (amongst a litany of other things), so it’s great to see producers listening to fans and moving closer to the, in this writer’s humble opinion, flawlessly perfect US version.
Get a look at the recently announced full cast list of the upcoming season here, and get hyped for July 30th when the back-stabbing, deceit and Hungry Jacks product placement, begins anew.
