Yesterday we posted a behind the scenes sneak peek at Audrey Tautou’s Chanel No. 5 video advertisement Directed by Jean Pierre Jeunet of “Amelie” and “A Very Long Engagement” fame. The spot has since been made available on the interwebs and retains all the cinematic charm we’d expect from a Jeunet feature crammed into a whimsical one minute ad that does the unthinkable and makes us love Tautou even more.
It has also been reported that Tautou was paid in the vicinity of $4.3 million for her services which to us common folk worker bee suckers would seems like an exorbitant amount. That is of course, until you compare it to the $12 million Nicole Kidman was reportedly paid five years prior. Who’s the sucker now Audrey? Who’s the sucker now. (Note: We’re actually crying on the inside and can’t even imagine what $4.3 million would look like).
