Ashton Kutcher Came Close To Finding His Ex-GF Stabbed To Death 15 Yrs Ago

Well. This is certainly one hell of a yarn.

Before Mila Kunis and Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher was dating a 22-year-old student named Ashley Ellerin. She was an aspiring model and part-time exotic dancer, and the LAPD have been quoted as saying that she had “tons of boyfriends”.
On February 21, 2001, she was found brutally murdered in her LA apartment.

Apparently, Ellerin attempted to make a date with Kutcher on the same day, but he turned her down. He was 23-years-old at the time and most notable for his role as Kelso on sitcom ‘That ’70s Show’
On the same day, Ellerin spent some time with her father and then called her landlord, Mark Durbin, requesting he come over to help fix a light fixture. She and Durbin ended up having sex and after he left, she called Kutcher “to ask if she should come to his friend’s house to watch [the Grammys]”, but he declined again, instead agreeing to meet her that night.
“Kutcher drove to her apartment at 10:45 p.m. in the hope of smoothing over what he thought was a looming argument, and found that the lights were on in her apartment and her car was parked outside.

After knocking on the door and calling out to her with no answer, Kutcher said he looked through a window into the apartment and saw what he thought was red wine pooled on the floor.

Kutcher…thought she was angry at him for not making the earlier date and left.”

He was metres from her body and had no idea. She was stabbed 35 times in her apartment while she was getting ready for a night out. According to reports, her throat was slashed so violently she was almost decapitated. Her body was then left in a “demeaning pose that was sexual in nature.”

The killer was an air-conditioning repairman named Michael Gargiulo, who has also been accused of slaying two other women. One of the victims, Maria Bruno, was also horrifically butchered, with Gargiulo allegedly “stabbing her multiple times, slitting her throat, slicing off her breasts, and staging her for family members and police to find.”
Dubbed the Chiller Killer, he was caught in 2008 after attempting to murder another woman who survived the attack. DNA left at the scene led police to the man who is still awaiting trial.
Kutcher will appear on the witness stand to give evidence against the accused “within the next few months”
I think I need to lie down.
