Another huge blow to the IMDB page of Armie Hammer as he has just been dumped from yet another project following the sexual assault allegations.
Variety reports that the disgraced actor has been dropped from the upcoming thriller Billion Dollar Spy, where he was set to star alongside Mads Mikkelsen.
The Cold War drama by filmmaker Amma Asante is the latest project to boot Armie Hammer, the other being Shotgun Wedding, where he was set to be the lead along with Jennifer Lopez. The role was subsequently recast, with Josh Duhamel filling the void.
This was actually the last remaining film that Armie Hammer had on his plate as every other film and studio have cut ties with him, along with his agent and management.
So it looks like he’ll have plenty of time to waltz around that resort he’s been hiding out at, where he’s been spotted screaming into the ocean.
It comes after it was revealed that Armie Hammer was officially under investigation by the police.
The anonymous woman behind Instagram account @houseofeffie, who first posted allegations against the star, spoke during a press conference with her attorney Gloria Allred recently.
“I thought that he was going to kill me,” the woman said.
According to Effie, the situation in question took place in 2017.
“On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles,” Effie said, “During which he repeatedly slapped my head against a wall bruising my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent.”
Effie claims that Hammer allegedly beat her feet “so they would hurt” every day and that she tried to escape “but he wouldn’t let her.”
Armie Hammer has denied the allegations, with his lawyer telling Variety that his interactions with Effie, and all women, were “completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participatory.”
In addition to denying the allegations, Armie’s lawyer sent a screenshot of a previous text message between the pair to variety, in which Armie appears to have ended the relationship.
“I am not going to be able to engage in you in that specific way right now. It never ends well. We can talk and be friends, but I can’t do that,” Armie reportedly said in the text.
Armie Hammer was the subject of a bombshell exposé published by Vanity Fair a few weeks back.
