January 11, 2021: Armie Hammer starts trending on social media
The Call Me By Your Name actor became a viral topic of conversation online after a series of graphic DMs allegedly between him and several women leaked on social media.
The screenshots show Hammer allegedly speaking to the women in a way that is domineering and violent. At some points, the DMs speak of drinking blood, describe scenes of sexual control, and references cannibalism.
In one DM, Armie allegedly describes himself as “100% a cannibal” and tells a woman “I want to eat you.”

January 11, 2021: House of Effie shares more screenshots
A woman who claims to have had an affair with Armie Hammer begins sharing screenshots on the Instagram account @houseofeffie.
She claims at least five women were engaged in consensual affairs with the actor, while he was married to ex wife Elizabeth Chambers – and that each woman was led to believe they were the only one.
“We all got told we are perfect. That he wants to run away with us. That it’s our world and fuck everyone else. He loved us all in his and [his ex’s] bed and made us a cute omelette after,” she wrote on Instagram.
“So we all had apartments ready for him around the world. So he met all our moms and they all loved him. So he told us all to be monogamous to him and wait for his divorce.”
She adds, “In retrospect it all makes sense, the asking to fly him out private, to get him a room at Claridges. It makes sense why date the kind of women he dated in 2021. Good on C for smarting up and kicking him out and getting sober.
“And if I hadn’t spoken out. None of those things would’ve made sense.”
After posting a variety of alleged screenshots from hers (and other alleged victims of abuse’s) conversations with Armie Hammer, all featuring graphic, cannibalistic phrasing, she went on to claim that she gave the actor “the chance to apologise” but he did not.
“You have ZERO idea what it’s like to go through what I went through and to carry that burden for years, suicidal and sexual assault hotlines didn’t help at all, Stockholm Syndrome, and to FINALLY speak out TO PROTECT OTHER WOMEN, and then have random lunatics on the internet like @armiehammeradoration calling me a liar, trying to intimidate me and harassing me trying to have my Instagram taken down.”
More screenshots continue to pop up throughout January and February via @houseofeffie.
13 January: Armie drops out of Shotgun Wedding
After days of rumours, Lionsgate released a statement via Deadline, revealing that Armie has officially walked away from his upcoming film Shotgun Wedding following allegations about his sex life.
A spokesperson said in a statement:
“Given the imminent start date of Shotgun Wedding, Armie has requested to step away from the film and we support him in his decision.”
His role alongside Jennifer Lopez is subsequently filled by Josh Duhamel.
13 January: Armie breaks his silence
Fans immediately assumed that Hammer was sacked from the project over the allegations, so he released a statement to E! News claiming that it was his decision to step away. This is his first statement on the matter:
“I’m not responding to these bulls–t claims, but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot, in good conscience now, leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.”
13 January: An alleged friend of Armie’s ex speaks out
Someone claiming to be friends with Elizabeth Chambers, Armie’s ex and the mother of his children, spoke to DailyMail.com and said she is understandably “shocked and sickened” by the alleged messages.
“A lot of these women have reached out to Elizabeth and although she didn’t want to admit it to herself at first, she knows now they are speaking the truth,” the insider claims.
“Armie had a whole other side to him that she wasn’t aware of. Whether it was always there and he kept it hidden, or something happened that changed him completely, she doesn’t know.”
14 January: More abuse claims
Following the onslaught of allegations, more and more women started to come forward. Hammer’s ex Courtney Vucekovich shared her story to Page Six.
“Fuck that was weird,” she reportedly said. “He says, ‘I want to take a bite out of you.’ If I had a little cut on my hand, he’d like suck it or lick it. That’s about as weird as we got.”
16 January: Fans track down Armie’s finsta
The Daily Mail published screenshots from Armie’s alleged private Instagram, which appears to show the 34-year-old’s court orders to complete random drug tests, and gloating about the hallucinogenic drug DMT not being identified in said tests before taking a massive drag from a vape.

19 January: It’s confirmed that the finsta is his
Armie apologised for the finsta’s content, proving that it does, in fact, belong to him.
“I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman,” Armie said in an audio message sent to the Cayman Compass.
“I am genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humour may have caused. My deep sympathies to Miss Cayman, who I don’t know, and to the entire organization, as I had no intentions of implying she was actually Miss Cayman.”
25 January: Even more abuse claims
Armie Hammer’s ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze shares some pretty serious allegations about their four-month-long relationship, including claims that Hammer branded her with his initials.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Lorenze shared a photo of an ‘A’-shaped scar on her body, that she claims was carved into her skin by Hammer during a sex game. You can view the photo here (if you want), but I’ll warn you, it’s pretty graphic.
29 February: Armie exits another project
Hammer was due to star in The Offer, an upcoming series that tells the behind-the-scenes story of stone-cold 1972 classic The Godfather. But following the allegations, Paramount was forced to seek out another star to portray producer Al Ruddy, according to Variety.

February 2: Armie’s ex wife officially breaks her silence
Armie Hammer‘s estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers finally breaks her weeks-long silence, saying she is “shocked, heartbroken and devastated” by the allegations.
“I didn’t realise how much I didn’t know,” she said in an Instagram post, likely referring to Hammer’s alleged affairs throughout their marriage and the allegations of abuse and assault levelled against him.
“I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal.
“At this time, I will not be commenting further on this matter.
“My sole focus and attention will continue to be on our children, on my work and on healing during this incredibly difficult time.”

February 4: Armie allegedly complains about being kink-shamed
In texts and voice messages published by the Daily Mail, Armie complained to a friend in the wake of several women alleging his aggressive, abusive behaviour and cannibalism ideation that he was feeling “a bit overwhelmed” and that it was “very invasive and shitty to get kink shamed by the internet”.

February 6: Armie is dropped by his agency and publicist
Variety reports that the William Morris Endeavor agency has dropped him as a client, while his personal publicist is also reportedly cutting ties.
February 9: Armie Hammer is linked to California homicide case
The actor’s name is raised in a case where human remains were found in the desert in Wonder Valley, California on January 31, not far from where Hammer allegedly worked at a construction site last year.
The police subsequently rubbish claims that Armie is a suspect in the investigation.
“Armie Hammer’s name hasn’t come up as a suspect at all. We have no plans to investigate him,” the Public Information Officer for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Homicide Division told The Sun.
“We have not identified the remains.”
February 12: Armie exhibits strange behaviour at the resort he’s been hiding out at
Someone who claims to be staying in the same resort as the actor claims they’ve witnessed some “horrifying” behaviour.
Speaking to Page Six, the source said: “It’s quite horrifying, to be honest. [He] walks up and down West Bay Road with no shirt or shoes, without a care in the world. Always boisterous and obnoxious and full of himself.”
“No one quite understands,” the source added. “Especially as Elizabeth raises her kids alone and kills herself to do everything for those children. No one wants him here or understands why he’s not in a facility of some sort.”
February 20: Hammer’s ex Paige Lorenze alleges “skin branding” and “licking blood”
During an interview on The Dr Oz show, Hammer’s ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze went into more details about the claims that Armie Hammer branded her skin, telling the talk show host that the incident allegedly occurred during one of the couple’s “high-protocol” nights, but says she wasn’t consenting. According to Complex, Lorenze recalled:
“I was tied up and he basically looked over my body and said to me ‘Where should I put my initials on you? And I didn’t really say anything. And then he just started to carve his initial into me. I was in a weak position. He was in a position of power. He knew how uncomfortable it made me but I just said never no. And I think that kind of being coerced into things and we don’t wanna say no and we don’t wanna be undesirable. And I think consent is much more complicated than we think and I’ve learned that through this.”
