Ariana Grande Tweets & Deletes Her Fury Over The Grammys Snubbing Mac Miller

As you may have heard, Ariana Grande has been spending the Grammys at home, in a custom Zac Posen couture gown, giving her dog rides on her dress and tweeting her heart out (all after a bit of an altercation between Grande and The Recording Academy over a planned Grammys performance, which she promptly pulled out of after being “insulted“).

Welp, it seems like the day has not been all popcorn and princess dress-ups. One particular award touched a nerve with Grande: Cardi B being awarded Best Rap Album. Once the award had been announced, Grande tweeted – and then immediately deleted – the following:

Many fans took this to be about Cardi B personally, and you’d be forgiven for thinking so, too – but that’s not the case. Ari went on to clarify to a fan account:

It seems like Grande would have been spitting regardless of who had won, because she was hoping desperately for her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died in September last year of a drug overdose, to take out the award.

Miller had been nominated, and Grande had clearly been holding out for a posthumous honour. She’s since deleted all the tweets even remotely related to her outburst, including her responses to @arianaspilltea. We hope she’s doing ok.
