I adore expertly-finessed April Fools pranks. I’ve also come to appreciate all isolation-related content. So, as you can imagine, the following April Fools iso prank has injected me with an abundance of schadenfreude-infused joy.
A dad over in the US tricked his kids into thinking they had to head back to school. The below footage depicts his daughters waiting by the car – bags at the ready and understandably gloomy – before he asked them what date it was.
It took a hot second for them to clock onto his scheming ways and, when they did, all best were off. Bags were immediately hurled to the floor.
“Got ’em,” our king says, as his daughters start to yell at him.
The footage itself has amassed over 73k shares and 1.4m views in under 24 hours, with many taking to the comments to simply marvel out how he managed to pull it off. I mean, let’s be real, as kids, we’re the first to know when school is off and would do anything to ensure that we got to stay home and watch TV.
