These days Annie Leibovitz mostly deals in two things: celebrity and carefully calibrated fantasies. Her Disney Dream series represents the apex of both (previous portraits include Rachel Weisz as Snow White, Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella and Beyonce as Alice in Wonderland) with Olivia Wilde as the Evil Queen and Alec Baldwin as the Magic Mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Penelope Cruz and Jeff Bridges as the Beauty and the Beast from umm…Beauty and the Beast, and Queen Latifah as Ursual from The Little Mermaid, still the creepiest Disney antagonist of all time.
Sure, they’re meticulously arranged and surreptitiously airbrushed but we believe in them anyway because the modern day fairytale is a famous person who used to not be famous. Sad but painfully true. Also, who wouldn’t want to see Alec Baldwin’s face upon looking into a mirror?

We love all three but our favourite of the series is still Mikhail Baryshnikov as Peter Pan, Gisele Bündchen as Wendy and Tina Fey as Tinkerbell.
