An ‘X-Files’ Reboot May Soon be Coming Your Way

While it’s still some distance from being an actual thing, Fox are talking about bringing back beloved ’90s series and endless source of paranormal sexual tension The X-Files.

Deadline report that the network were inspired in part by the success of 24‘s recent, limited run return, and that the chairman of Fox TV Group is “hopeful” that it will come to fruition.
For now, the project appears to hinge on the involvement of original X-Files stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, as well as its creator Chris Carter.
Duchovny is currently busy with the new drama Aquarius, while Anderson is starring in Hannibal and The Fall. So far, there have reportedly not been creative discussions, only “logistical” ones to work out cast members’ availability.
We’re cautiously optimistic about this, as long as Mulder and Scully are involved. Along with the coming third season of Twin Peaks, the ’90s are suddenly all up in our faces in a big way.
