Amanda Bynes Has Checked Into Rehab in L.A.

After an erratic few days for Amanda Bynes – including a DUI, rumours that she had dropped out of fashion school and gotten engaged to a 19-year-old bait shop employee, and a bizarre story that emerged about her “feeling up” her driver – the troubled actress has reportedly checked into rehab in Los Angeles.
People report that late on Friday, Bynes flew from New York to Los Angeles, where she currently lives with her parents, and checked into a rehab facility soon after touching down. She is reportedly being kept on a 5150 psychiatric hold, and sources say she will be kept there for 72 hours.
On Friday, Bynes Tweeted and subsequently deleted a series of serious allegations against her father, claiming that he had verbally, physically and sexually abused her as a child. After removing the Tweets, she said: “My dad never did any of those things The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he’s the one that ordered them to microchip me.”
Bynes’ mother later responded, saying that: “These allegations stem from Amanda’s mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband’s character could be slandered in such a way.” The actress moved back home with her family last year, but her relationship with them has reportedly grown tense in recent weeks.
We are glad to hear that she’s safe, and wish her all the best in her ongoing recovery.
