In the greatest dating news since Evan Peters & Halsey (yes ok since the weekend, then) – Adele is rumoured to be boning none other than UK grime rapper Skepta. Yes, Skepta.

According to The Sun – so grains of salts, assemble, obviously – the pair have been on several dates, with the latest being a celebration of Skepta’s 37th birthday. Apparently they did some shit called the “Crystal Maze experience” in London, which sounds like it fucking sucks but go off, kings.
Of course the scoop comes from an unidentified “source”, who said:
“Adele and Skepta have been there for each other a lot after both their relationships split up. They have a close bond and there’s definitely a special connection. They’re spending more and more time together. Some of their friends are hoping and predicting they could end up being a great couple one day.”
Apparently all the hush-hush is because “They are both private about their love lives and they are both committed to their children first and foremost as well.” Or maybe because it’s not bloody real, but I back it. I’m hoping it is.
It’s not like they haven’t talked about each other before, for example. Back in 2016 Skepta told ES Magazine “Adele texts me all the time and keeps me in check. She speaks to me about how things are going,” and Adele posted this:
Maybe their friendship just developed into something more now Adele’s divorced and Skepta’s single? PLEASE MUSIC GODS, LET IT BE SO.
For the record, Adele’s ~people~ have said “No reply at this time”, while Skepta’s just haven’t made a comment at all.
