‘She’s Hating Every Second’: Apparently Adele’s Residency Is Still Rolling In The Deep Shit

After a fuck ton of delays and drama, Adele FINALLY opened her long-awaited Las Vegas residency last week and while it might seem lit, apparently the chaos behind-the-scenes has only gotten worse.

An insider allegede to Blind Items site Crazy Days and Nights that Adele only agreed to go forth with the residency because she risked losing dollarydoos over trying to can the shows.

“It is only the huge financial consequences of losing millions of dollars of her fortune, that this foreign born one named A lister is going to do the residency,” the blind item read.

“If you ever want to see her in concert, this will probably be your last chance for at least a decade, if not longer. She definitely doesn’t want to be there and is hating every second of it.”

Radar Online later published a report alleging that the singer threw a “hissy fit” over the suite offered by Caesars Palace as part of her residency deal.

Apparently Adele has “snubbed” Caesars after it cancelled her residency at the last minute earlier this year and she therefore wants nothing to do with them.

According to Daily Mail, Adele will instead be staying at a bungalow on a golf course further down the road at Caesers’ rival Wynn resort.

Is it wrong that I kinda love the pettiness?

Insiders previously told The Sun that the singer’s residency was “heading for disaster” long before the shows were axed due to “explosive fights” between Adele and set designer Esmeralda Devlin.

Vegas-based journalist Scott Roeben revealed on Twitter that all her sets had been removed from the Colosseum theater.

“Industry source believes Adele’s residency is done at Caesars Palace, as all preparations for the production have stopped, the sets have been loaded out and there’s no activity related to addressing concerns that presumably led to the cancellation,” he wrote.

“The sound system Adele and her team insisted upon is being taken out, the original equipment is being re-installed. Source believes Adele may be picked up by Park MGM (Dolby Live) or Resorts World, but doesn’t think she’ll return to Caesars Palace. A costly debacle.”

And it looks like that’s not all she’s had to deal with.

A source close to the singer told Page Six that her relationship with boyfriend Rich Paul “hit a rough patch,” which is why she stepped away from the shows.

“She and Rich had been fighting, and their relationship was volatile before she cancelled her dates,” she said.

“Adele is very emotional and dramatic. He’s an NBA guy who has to go on the road — they are very different — and they hit a rough patch.”

Meanwhile insiders told Page Six that the singer was “shouting and sobbing” on the phone to her boyfriend Rich Paul during rehearsals.

“Adele’s been crying and couldn’t get through a single full rehearsal for the past month,” a source tied to the team at Caesars Palace told the site. “Just constantly on the phone with Rich … loudly shouting and sobbing.”

An insider previously claimed that the straw that broke the camel’s back was a stage set-up where Adele would stand in the middle of a swimming pool while she sang, but the singer hated the way it turned out, allegedly comparing the final design to an “old pond.”

“When she saw the finished design, she refused to take part,” a source told the outlet.

“Adele described the pool as a ‘baggy old pond’ and refused, point blank, to stand in the middle of it. The intention was to fill it with water on the set as she was lifted up on a crane-type mechanism, creating the illusion she was floating on water.”

It comes after an insider told The Sun that “in spite of the set costing millions to put together, Adele was unhappy with the result, and she made her feelings very clear to Es.

“She was already nervous and the falling-out sent her spiralling into a panic because she was desperate that everything should be perfect.”

A separate insider claimed the dispute came after the production had already been thrown into chaos by “endless changes” to the running order.

Apparently “there was no real clarity around what Adele wanted for the show because of the endless changes being made to the production.

“It seemed that while she has always preferred a stripped-back performance, she was under some pressure to come up with a huge extravaganza.

“So there was a constant ricochet between those two versions of what the show should be, and it did cause some quite explosive arguments.”

They continued: “Most shows have teething problems of one kind or another, but there has been a feeling for some time that these shows were heading for disaster.

“It is well known that Adele suffers badly with anxiety when it comes to performing live, so it’s hard to imagine her going ahead if she wasn’t happy.”

And tellingly, a statement issued by Caesars Palace did not mention COVID as the reason for the cancellation, but noted: “Creating a show of this magnitude is incredibly complex.”

What a mess.
