The Trailer For Adam Sandler’s New Flick Is Out And… It Doesn’t Look Bad?

Adam Sandler should be recognised as one of Hollywood’s most impressive figures. Not because of his filmography, per se (Jack And Jill? Grown Ups 2?), but because he managed to generate a fuckload of cash for his mates while doing so. The huge deal Sandler signed with Netflix to deliver four films for the streaming platform is more proof of his ability to sign cheques. Legitimately. That kind of business nous is goddamn impressive.

The Meyerowitz Stories (New And Selected), which arrives on Netflix on October 13, seems noteworthy for a somewhat different reason: Adam Sandler is all over it, and it doesn’t look that bad.

Starring Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Candace Bergen, and Adam Driver, The Meyerowitz Stories focuses on the strained relationships of a New York family. It doesn’t appear that fart jokes are included in director Noah Baumbach‘s work, and if they are, they’re probably gonna be poignant.

Watching this trailer, contemplate the fact an Adam Sandler flick landed a four-minute standing ovation at Cannes. Maybe we’ll get back to recognising Sandler’s skills on the screen after this one drops:
