A New Home Reno Show Dedicated To Murder Homes Is Coming To Traumatise Us All

‘Dreaming about owning a home’ and ‘Nursing a fascination with murder’ are key facets of today’s culture, and a brand new TV show plans to combine them for your macabre viewing pleasure.

Deadline reports Murder House Flip will recruit a host of forensic boffins, reno experts, and yes, spiritual healers, to renovate and resell notorious homes across the United States.

Murder House Flip combines home renovations with the intriguing elements of a true crime series,” said series creator Josh Berman.

“Bringing healing and solace to families living in the aftermath of tragic events by transforming dark places into healthy spaces” is the goal, Berman added.

We should probably mention here that Berman is the former executive producer of CSI, proving the dude knows how to hook viewers on grisly details.

Fittingly, the show is slated to premiere on Quibi, a yet-to-launch streaming service marketed at millennial viewers.

There’s no word yet on whether Quibi will launch in Australia, but you shouldn’t worry too much: free-to-air TV already has a stack of depressing home reno shows for us to consume.

Is there something sick about commoditising the suffering of others on the real estate market? Maybe, but it’s probably best we don’t think too hard about that.
