Unless you’ve been on a social media ban over the past week, you will have noticed the name James Charles pop up quite a few times because, well, he’s officially been cancelled.

Just a recap for those of you who haven’t been sipping the tea from the beginning: Tati Westbrook, one of the OG beauty YouTubers, was the 19-year-old’s first mentor in the business and basically helped build his career.

In fact, James credits Tati as the reason he first picked up a makeup brush and later summoned Tati’s help via social media DMs to help him start out in the biz.

He has since amassed 16 million subscribers and became one of the most popular social media stars until last week when Tati publicly dropped his glittery ass in a scathing 40-minute long video titled, ‘Bye Sister’ where she called him out for lying to his followers, collaborating with her competitors even though he knew it would spite her and exhibiting predatory behaviour towards straight boys.

According to the YouTube statistics tracking site Social BladeJames’ subscribers count dropped from 16.5 million to 16.0 million to 15.7 million in the hours after Tati’s video and that number is still dropping.

In the meantime, Tati’s subscriber count has grown exponentially as it appears fans have believed her version of events and her damaging claims about Charles.

And they should.

Because in the days following the release of the scandalous video, several other prominent celebs have supported Tati and shared their own claims about the young vlogger.

Let’s start with the shadiest of them all: Fellow beauty YouTuber Jeffree Star.

He first revealed that he’d taken Tati’s side by firing off the following tweets as her subscriber count grew while Charles’ dropped.

He then specifically called out his disgraced colleague, confirming that everything Tati said was legit and that he is a “danger to society.”

“There is a reason that Nathan banned James Charles from ever coming over to our home again,” he wrote. “There’s a reason why I haven’t seen him since ‘s birthday in February. He is a danger to society. Everything Tati said is 100% true.”

Meanwhile, another damning tweet allegedly posted by Jeffree Star has been doing the ’rounds online.

Because the tweet was supposedly deleted, we cannot confirm or deny if it was actually written by Star but apparently he had an online altercation with Charles’ brother Ian Jeffrey.

“Who does everyone act so tough over the internet?” Jeffrey tweeted, to which Star responded:

“Why is your brother a predator? Why’d you really move back to NYC? Exactly. Shut the fuck up.”

Heavy stuff, huh? It gets weirder.

Swedish singer Zara Larsson (who I interviewed back in the day – sweet gal) claimed that James once slid into her STRAIGHT boyfriend’s DMs.

“I’m cackling cause he hit up my boyfriend in the dms several times knowing damn well he’s straight,” she tweeted before swiftly deleting it.

A fan later probed Zara about why she canned the tweet and she responded, “It made me really uncomfortable cause I felt like it was unproportinally blown up and I honestly don’t wanna be a part of it. I feel like I shouldn’t have made my self involved, even if the behaviour is problematic in general.”

Singer Katy Perry also weighed in on the shade by liking a tweet that attacked the beauty blogger.

A fan shared a video of her dancing to Charles’ sappy apology video as a means of taking the piss.

And as for internet star Shane Dawson, while he didn’t specifically mention James, he did publicly support Tati and her beauty brand.

Big shocker: Shade king Elijah Daniel also put his two cents in by sharing a video of Charles’ follower count dramatically dropping.

“I just started this new Netflix show I’m only on episode 1 please don’t spoil it for me,” he wrote, before following it up with a few more sassy comments.

And here are a few other savage tweets by various other members of the ~internet~ celeb world.

There are also pop culture social media accounts alleging that some A-listers have unfollowed Charles amid the scandal including Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes, Kylie Jenner and more.

Apologies if I missed anyone. Legit EVERYONE is pissed about the whole thing and I don’t think the scandal will be dying down any time soon.

What a mess.
