Pressing matters to follow, guys. Nominations for the dishonourable, highly unsought-after Razzie Awards have been revealed today. The awards salute the lame, lamer and lamest Hollywood offerings from the previous year, which, as the site explains, is determined by more than 725 film professionals, film journalists and film fans from around the U.S. and 15 foreign countries.
In an unsurprising non-twist of fate, ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’, ‘Sex & The City 2’, ‘Vampires Suck’ and ‘The Last Airbender’ received most of the attention, both for general epic failure and individual acting monstrosities. Tipped for worst actor were Ashton Kutcher for both ‘Killers’ and ‘Valentine’s Day’, Robert Pattinson for ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ and ‘Remember Me’ (have mercy on the tweens), Taylor Lautner for ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ (refer: previous parentheses), Gerard Butler for ‘The Bounty Hunter’ and token funny fat guy who is growing less and less funny,Jack Black for ‘Gulliver’s Travels’.
Worst Actress nods went to Jennifer Aniston for ‘The Bounty Hunter’, Miley Cyrus for ‘The Last Song’, all four gal pals in ‘Sex & The City 2’, Megan Fox for ‘Jonah Hex’ and Kristen Stewart for both ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ and ‘Having An Irritating Face and Wearing Really Ugly Clothes’. What, you didn’t see that last one? It’s the one where she is perpetually sporting an irritating face and really ugly clothes.
