200 People Walked Out Of Amy Schumer’s Show Over These Intense Trump Gags

Amy Schumer is all about incorporating political issues into her comedy: we know this, because she’s done it plenty ‘o times before, making points about everything from gun culture to sexual assault.

Her recent show at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday night was no different – except, this time, an estimated 200 of the approximately 8,600 to 10,000 audience members walked out when she used part of her set to blast verified skeeze Donald Trump.
Sure, she’s in Florida – Trump’s second home for almost three decades, and the bedrock of his support as the Republican nominee – but that’s still a significant number of paying customers to have chucked a hissy fit mid-show.
What did she say? She warmed up with a riff on the fkn horrific 2005 audio of Trump talking about grabbing women inappropriately and non consensually with now-disgraced ‘Access Hollywood’ correspondent Billy Bush i.e. “locker room talk”.
“You know what I love?” Schumer asked. “A famous guy that will just take me furniture shopping and just straight up grab my pussy,” she said, paraphrasing Trump.
At this point, “loud booing from a vocal, but small minority of the arena crowd started,” according to Tampa Bay Times political editor Adam C. Smith, who was in the crowd.
Schumer – the first female comic to headline Tampa’s Amalie Arena – also dragged a Republican supporter on stage and asked why, on god’s green earth, he was voting for Trump.

“Do you get worried at all with how impulsive he is?” she asked a rando named Dave. “Do you worry he’ll be impulsive and get us in a lot of fucking trouble we can’t get out of?”

When that was done, she went on to straight-up call Trump an “orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster”.

Check out the footage captured by an audience member (in which more cheers than boos can be heard, for the record):

The best bit, by far, is when she says: “I can’t imagine looking at little niece, who’s two-and-a-half, and saying ‘This is our President. He wants to finger his daughter!’.”
That’s when the majority of pissed audience members walked out, booing and heckling all the while.
In true Schumer fashion, she gave exactly zero fucks about the defectors – and told them so.

“Of course, we’re in Florida, you’re going to boo… I know you’re here to laugh, but you know what, you choose your life, you choose the way you want to go in your life, and it’s just too important,” she said. “So we’re going to spend five more minutes talking about it and if you don’t like it you can go to the bathroom or you can leave.”
