There’s a lot of random shit on GoFundMe. You don’t need me to tell you that but one particular campaign has gone viral for how goddamn amusing it is. A woman in England created a campaign after she travelled three-and-a-half hours return for a bloke she met on Tinder who just straight up called her “fat” upon arrival.

Jade Savage told The Sun that she had been on a couple of dates with the guy before. So for their next date, Jade decided to travel from Leicester to meet him in Peterborough. The entire trip cost her £93 (AUD$167) return.

When she arrived, her date took one look at her and said the actual words: “Fuck me, you have put some weight on haven’t you?”

Fucking hell.

“It was clear he wanted to call the whole thing off but I still hoped we could have a nice time so we went to his car,” Jade told The Sun. Jade, please, no.

He added that Jade looked nothing like she did on their last date four weeks ago so “it’s a fact … so therefore I can joke about it.”

Jade, 3000% done by this point, called him out for being a “prick.”

“Then he went berserk and said, ‘You what, you think I’m a prick?’ He drove me back to the station and told me I had put him in a bad mood and that I had to go home.”

167 bucks for that. Not to mention Jade had to wait another hour for the next train.

Despite getting fucked over Jade saw the funny side to the entire thing and – over a £5 glass of wine at the train station – decided to create a GoFundMe page to crowdfund the cash she lost over the date.

It’s literally called “Want my £90 back because my date called me fat.”

The campaign was just for a laugh but then people started donating legitimate amounts of money to it. At the time of writing, 48 people have donated £790 (AUD$1422). Wild.

“Date called me fat and got offended when I told him he was rude and acting like a prick,” she wrote on GoFundMe. “So took me back to the train station five minutes later. He then offered to give me the £90 travel money back and blocked me when I said yeah.

“Just want to make my £90 travel money back so I can buy wine and sticks of lard.”
