Oh carb sluts of yonder, gather round. The legendary TikTok feta pasta lady has returned, after blessing us with four godly recipes so far. This time, however, she may have gone way too far with her creations. Prepare your eyes and your gag reflex for the extremely strange strawberry and feta pasta recipe.

It all started with a simple cherry tomato and feta pasta recipe from TikTok user @feelgoodfoodie. Easy. Delicious. Cost-effective. Simple. Looks pretty for the ‘gram. A true winner. Everyone and their donkey was trying this recipe, and it really did live up to all the hype.

Then, we received some follow-up recipes. Honey pesto and feta (YUM), capsicum olive and feta (PERFECTO) and a quick and easy tomato feta DIP variant. All of them were just as amazing as the original, and added something new and fun that made us just want to run to Woolies ASAP.

Now, we are here. The apex of fame. With every rise to prominence comes the fall. Icarus flying too close to the sun. The crutches of greed and excess, revealing themselves to once blinded eyes. You get what I mean. Strawberry feta pasta. Nonna wept. Nonna locked herself in the room and CRIED, mumbling something about Calabria.

I’m being exaggerative here, but my lord, as an Italian this gives me violent shakes. Strawberry pasta? In a dish that isn’t a dessert? No thanks.

The recipe includes sprinkling strawberries with pepper and olive oil, (NO), and then adding the feta. Basically, that’s all you need to do until you add the pasta after baking it all. You can check out the TikTok for the recipe below, which is absolutely cooked.

Also, I noticed that this is the only recipe out of all of them that she doesn’t take a bite out of at the end of the video. In the words of Cardi B, “That’s suspicious. That’s weird.”

If you need me I’m going to be showing this video to my grandparents, and then consoling them afterwards as they slip into a state of violence.

If you do try this recipe, and it’s actually bomb, let me know, because there’s no way I’m going to.
