TheFork Festival is the first go at what sounds like literal thrift heaven and involves over a whopping 250 restaurants across Australia that are a part of TheFork’s reservation bookings community.
Though the full list is being dropped on the website and app on June 30, there’s already a healthy tease of tastebud tinglers announced to whet your appetite for those cheap meals heading into next month.
Think spots like Din Tai Fung, Monopole, Queen Chow Manly, and Fratelli Fresh in NSW, Comuna Cantina, The French Bistrot and Corbett & Claude in Queensland, Red Ochre Grill and Henry’s Table in South Aus, St. LuJa, Alibi, and Beau Kitchen in Victoria, Prince Lane, Springs Kitchen, and Angove Kitchen in Western Aus, to name but a few.
To cop the sweet half-price fare over the next few cold months of winter, you just have to make a booking at your chosen eatery through the app or website, and then go for it. There’s not much more to it, really.
We’ll update you with the full list when it drops, but until then start planning your date nights and dinner parties for the next couple of months, ‘cos whatever you save on the cheap meals, you can 100% put towards something else, like the first round at the pub, or just more food, OR splurging on dessert.
I’m absolutely going to go to Din Tai Fung and just order double the amount of dumplings and dry noodles in special sauce. Just you try and bloody stop me.
