Brilliant news, folks. For International Sandwich Day, the good people at Subway are giving away a free feed for a good cause.

Tomorrow, Friday 2 November – every sub, salad, or wrap purchased will come with another one for free. And, with every purchase, Subway will donate the cost of a meal to Foodbank – Australia‘s largest food relief non-profit organisation.

But that’s not all, there’ll even be a special celeb guest in selected stories across the country so keep an eye out. In Melbourne‘s Southern Cross Station Subway, expect to see Aussie tennis legend Sam Groth. And up in the Northern Territoryyou can say g’day to West Coast Eagles star Willie Rioli in Subway Coolalinga.

According to stats from Foodbank, over 3.6 million people experience food insecurity at some point in a year and 27 per cent of these people are children.

The inaugural 2017 World Sandwich Day raised the equivalent of more than 280,000 meals for Australian families.

“It’s hard to imagine what 280,000 meals actually looks like but it provides the equivalent of $3.5 million
in benefits to health, emotional wellbeing, sense of self-worth, social relationships and ultimately
overall standard of living for the food relief recipients,” Foodbank Australia CEO Brianna Casey said.

Every donation tomorrow will be captured on the Subway Live Feed digital tracker. Watch the magic happen, HERE
