Personalised Cokes Are Back & You Can Literally Crack A Cold One With The Boys

With the amber sheen of summer looming large (it’s bloody GLORIOUS here in Melbourne today I tell you what) and with it comes the fairly spectacular announcement from Coca-Cola that their popular Share A Coke promotion is not only making a roaring comeback, but the list of names being rolled out on tins and bottles nationwide also happens to include nicknames for the very first time.

The new promotion, which begins today, reportedly features a roster of names on cans and bottles that represents “the diversity of Australia in 2019.”

Interestingly enough though, this time around the promotion is growing to include a variety of common nicknames, which will be available on cans and bottles in stores across the country.

That includes a spate of popular nicknames like “Old Mate,” “Champ,” “Cuz,” “Legend,” and even names like “Bro,” “Sis,” “Princess,” and “BFF.” Furthermore, a select few cans will also feature “The Boys” and “The Gals,” meaning you can literally crack a cold one open with them.

On the off chance none of that takes your fancy either though, Coke has launched a can personalisation service that’ll put whatever crazy nickname or unusual spelling you might be carrying onto a tin or bottle and deliver it directly to your door.

The Share A Coke website has all the details on how to go about getting the personalised drink to you. All you have to do is plug the name into the open field and you’re off to the races.

Before you ask: Yes, they have a profanity and offensive content filter, and yes it appears to work decently well.

Very rude of them to discriminate against the name I’ve been assigned in certain circles, but I understand the logic behind it nonetheless.

The Share A Coke cans and bottles are being rolled out in stores across Australia as of today. Get around it.
