Ever wished you could order a delicious alcoholic beverage with your Red Rooster meal? I mean, sure, you could just stop by the bottle-o on the way home, but that’s a whole extra step. Well, the chicken franchise is keen to help you out by trialling alcohol delivery in select Victorian stores until the end of the year.

According to Red Rooster’s research team, the newly devised drinks menu “represents the perfect pairing” for its delicious chicken items. “With summer and party season approaching, Red Rooster is now putting a trial in place,” the press release said.
“These beverages represent the perfect pairings for Red Rooster’s roast chicken menu — Aussie crowd pleasers that will make entertaining and eating all the more enjoyable.”
If you order from the Ascot Vale, Doncaster, Hampton, Karingal, North Frankston or Sunbury stores, you’ll be able to add beer, wine, rum, vodka, or bourbon to your home delivery. Don’t get too excited yet you goddamn booze hounds, you’ll only be able to order a six-pack or bottle of wine per order. This is Dan Murphy’s for fuck’s sake.
If the trial is successful, CEO Nick Keenan says the service will be rolled out nationwide in 2019. “At this stage it’s too early to know exactly what kind of rollout it will be,” he said. “But it will be subject to strict conditions and what is best for the customers.”
The piss will only be available via the chain’s delivery service and not in restaurants, so don’t rock up to your local Red Rooster expecting a boozy dinner. But hey, if you’re after a few quiet bevvies with your chicken dinner delivery, this will likely be music to your ears.
