I Honestly Do Not Know What To McMake Of This “One-Handed” Macca’s Meal Hack

Macca's meal hack

I just – like I just – started doing the “unfold your burger box” thing to chuck your fries into it. But it appears I am lagging way behind because Macca’s now has a meal hack for those keen on shoving a burg, fries, and drink down your food chute, one-handed (?).

Macca’s went ahead and posted an illustrated step-to-step guide of the meal hack on Instagram earlier this week. It is quite detailed, but the hack itself requires nothing but the ability to put your straw through a… hole.

I do not know if this works. Perhaps, one day I’ll find out. But for now all I’m going to do is turn my head slightly to the side and frown in confusion. Who really thought of this? Did Macca’s hijack this from a post on Twitter? Does it work? Is it really necessary? These are the questions plaguing me on this fine Friday night.

“Fancy a one-handed meal?” the fast food giant captioned the post. “Simply unfold your burger box to make a fries tray, then perch it on your soft drink. Easy as.”

I just feel like things would end badly, for me anyway because I am very, very clumsy. I would walk face-first into someone and spill everything, which is SUCH A WASTE. Or, the burger would topple out because it’s heavier than the chips? I don’t know. I’m very suss about this.

In some related news, Macca’s recently announced it’s bringing back the godly El Maco burger and shaker fries for a limited time. It’s also doing mozzarella sticks for $3.50 with an El Maco dipping sauce. HOO BOY.

The El Maco burger will be available until December 22, so you know what to do.

You can read more about the golden arches below.

As an aside: do not, do not, write about Macca’s on a Friday evening, when you haven’t had dinner yet, and you’re working the night shift. BAD IDEA.
