If you’ve ever wondered how Macca’s decides what to pop on those big, lit-up menus, you’ll be tickled to know that the big golden arches has a very special store in Chicago where they trial new products out before launching them at stores around the country and the world.

At the ‘Global Headquarters’ store in Chicago’s West Loop is one of the rare EOTF stores, which stands for Experience Of The Future. It’s a lucky little (big) venue that features some of the best menu items from across the world, as well as testing the waters for new munchies that are yet to be rolled out in all stores.
As per Uproxx, the Chi-Town store’s menu was updated recently to include a bunch of yum-lookin’ things, including a Sweet Potato Fries from the Netherlands, and a Grilled Halloumi Muffin from Cyprus and Kuwait.
Imagine a Grilled Halloumi Muffin and how much it would make the obligatory airport Macca’s brekky infinitely better for vegos. Imagine putting your hashbrown onto that. God it makes me hungry just thinking about it.
The updated menu in the US also features a couple of new salads, including the ‘I’m Greeking Out’ salad from Canada (???) which is basically a greek salad with some extra greenery. Not sure about that one, chief.
It also includes something called the ‘1955 Burger’ from Germany, which features seasoned tomato ketchup, grilled onions, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and a special 1955 sauce, and looks like it’s been popping up in Korea, too.
Sticking in South Korea, the updated menu also includes Caramel-Dipped Cones (!!!) which involves vanilla, chocolate, or twist soft serve dipped in Macca’s version of Ice Magic. They’re called McDip, which is impossibly adorable, and are also at Malaysian stores. What the fuck that sounds amazing. Give it to me right now.
In all of this, I wish to ask: where in the hell is the Australian EOTF store? I want sweet potato fries and dippy cones and sweet potato fries, dammit. Give them to me immediately.
