Krispy Kreme Is Doing Doggie Doughnuts So We Can Treat Our Pups For Helping Us Through Locky-D

Krispy Kreme Doggie Doughnuts

I didn’t think I could love my pets any more than I already do, but somehow lockdown has made me even more obsessed. Constant love and cuddles when you’re trying to deal with a pandemic and climate crisis is honestly the best. And now you can treat your pups for getting you through Locky-D, because Krispy Kreme just partnered with Aussie pet treat connoisseurs Huds & Toke to launch their adorable ‘Doggie Doughnuts’.

The ‘Doggie Doughnuts’ aren’t actual doughnuts, but biscuits that are modelled after iconic Krispy Kreme flavours, with six flavours in total: Original Glazed®, Choc Cookie, Choc Sprinkles, Choc Iced, Strawberry Sprinkles and Choc Cheesecake.

And despite the drool-inducing flavours, these doggie biscuits are actually super healthy for your pup! The bickies are all natural, handmade, low in fat and have no added salt, sugar, or preservatives. Do I care more about my pet’s diet than my own? Yes and there is nothing wrong with that.

The solid cookie base and frosting were designed specifically for dog jaws – using ingredients like carob and yoghurt – for dental cleaning benefits, AND the cookies are meant to last longer than usual to really treat your pup.

“We had so much fun reimagining Australia’s favourite Krispy Kreme flavours as dog-friendly treats. We wanted to perfectly recreate the details of each iconic doughnut so owners could get “matchy-matchy” with their pets! It’s the best fun,” Emma Gibbons, founder of Huds & Toke, said.

“It’s also our biggest manufacturing project to date and awesome to have a brand as influential as Krispy Kreme reaching out to a small Aussie business like ours.

So, an excuse to support a local Aussie business AND spoil the shit out of your doggies? Count me tf in!!!

The Doggie Doughnuts are available to order in six packs at SOME Krispey Kreme Drive Thru stores (specifically Liverpool, Auburn, Mascot and Penrith in NSW, Bulleen, Fawkner and Fountain Gate in Victoria, and Cannington, Myaree, and Whitford City in WA). And if you grab ’em in Drive Thru, you also get a FREE puppycino, which is just so cute I can’t.

Don’t panic if you aren’t near these stores though, you can still order the Doggie Doughnuts online and get them delivered, too. However, the treats ARE limited edition, so donut wait too long before ordering them!!
