KFC Is Officially Launching Its KFConsole, A High-End Gaming PC With A Chicken Warming Chamber

KFC KFConsole

KFC, (yes, the chicken-making fast-food company with a penchant for all things finger-licking good), have revealed that the KFConsole that it teased earlier this year (June) is actually coming out… and will be able to run all your favourite games as well as warming up your chicken. You gotta love the ingenuity.

Yep, KFC announced this morning that “the console wars are over”, with its brand new trailer for a high-end console that it will be dropping in 2021. The console was made in partnership with Cooler Master, and promises to arrive VR-ready, with chicken heaters available from the get-go.

The console is said to be capable of 4K graphics and 240FPS, which uhhh, is one of the highest amounts of frames-per-second on offer in the gaming world, and is the highest rate that most modern displays can go.

You can check out the trailer and some of the official images right here, which are pretty delicious if I do say so myself.

“Moving forward from our initial teaser campaign earlier this year, we’re so pleased to finally give the fans exactly what they wanted; making the KFConsole a reality,” said KFC’s Mark Cheevers in a press release.

“We all know the console war is vicious, but we’re very confident in the KFConsole as our flagship entry. This machine is capable of running games at top-level specs, all on top of keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming experience… what’s not to like?

“If Sony or Microsoft want any tips on how to engineer a chicken chamber for their efforts next time, they’d be welcome to get in touch.”

Honestly, although this has been confirmed to be pretty real, I can’t help but feel like this is still a running joke from the KFC team. I mean, a high-level console that runs at near-perfect levels AND has a chamber for chicken heating? It truly sounds too good to be true.

If you need me, I’m going to be saving up for this baby and snatching it up as soon as it comes out.
