Huxtaburger Absolutely Cook It With Mealworm And Ant Halloween Burgers

You better start carving those pumpkins and stocking up on garlic cloves, ‘cos Halloween is this Tuesday.

Despite the fact that the ‘holiday’ is little more than an excuse to dress like a slutty mouse and eat your bodyweight in Cadbury, people bloody love it. It’s a little bit spooky. It’s a little bit fun.

To celebrate this deeply creepy day, the criminals at Huxtaburger have created a frankensteinly disgusting burger.

It’s called The Bugstaburger, and there are no prizes for guessing what’s inside this abomination.

Bugs. Lotsa them.

The freaky burg features edible mealworms, a generous schmear of ant mayo, with all of the classic Huxtaburger fillings: beef patty, cheese, mustard, mayo, tomato sauce, tomato, lettuce and pickles. To top off the sinister little creation, they’ve placed the ingredients between a bright blue bun.

The $10.50 burg will be available for one day only (Halloween, duh) at their Melbourne CBD location.

If you’re not game for mealworms and ants in your precious burger, you can still get involved; all burgers served in stores across the country will have blue buns.

It’s dirt nasty, but at the end of the day, a burger’s a burger, right?
