Hamish Blake Is Live Streaming A Cooking Class This Week So Preheat Your Oven To Chaotic

In what will be nothing less than absolutely chaotic in every sense of the word, Hamish Blake has decided to take a cooking class this week and live stream the whole thing for all of us to enjoy. Nope, it’s not just you whose been busying idle hands by whipping up recipes from cookbooks cover to cover. You’re absolutely not alone. Hamish is right there with you.

Clearly bored with dropping in on Zoom meetings, Hamish will be flicking the tea towel over his shoulder (the only way to signify you are a Real Cook) at 7pm on Thursday, and attempting to make a romantic dinner for Zoë Foster Blake, under the careful instruction and guidance of Ben Shewry from Melbourne’s Attica.

Hopefully, Hamish will whip together a delicious and fancy flambé prawn spaghetti and a ‘heart-shaped box’ chocolate mousse without catching the whole kitchen on fire, or setting off all the smoke alarms, or making something explode.

Personally, I’m hoping that he cooks with the whole kitchen like I do. It’s truly not a labour of love unless you’ve somehow flicked food onto the ceiling, dropped something on the floor, and splatted your own clothes with sauce.

They’ve also got the recipes raring to go, so if you’re wanting to cook along with the big cook-in, you best be nipping down to the local grocer and pick up all the bits and pieces for your own romantic homemade dinner.

Even if the dinner is for just you and your hot date who is also you.) I know Hamish Blake’s cooking sesh recipe says “for two” on the recipes but hey maybe you’re hungry, or you want to romance future-you and keep some for lunch on Friday.

Who cares, no rules in isolation baby! (Which is something I’m finding I’m saying that a hell of a lot more recently.)

Me @ me after making literally any food.
