Extremely Rich Bastard Ed Sheeran Dropped $6k On Dinner At Brissie’s Gambaro

It’s a tough life for the rich and the famous, isn’t it. As Good Charlotte once said poignantly, “Well they got mansions, think we should rob them.” (Do not rob famous people).

Side note can we discuss that Good CHARLOTTE were rich and famous when they wrote that tune? You right, mates? Pretty sure you’ve got a few mansions of your own.

Anyway – in today’s rich folks news, Ed Sheeran – currently touring around Australia and making everyone scream in giant auditoriums – has visited Gambaro, a place that is apparently really famous in Brisbane but I have never heard of in my life. SYDNEY FOREVER, FUCKFACES.

Kidding. Please love me.

Anyway, Gambaro, for the uninformed (me) has existed since 1953. I know this because their website told me. Also because this decor screams “I haven’t had a renovation for 20 years”.

Oh god, is all of Brisbane going to come for me? Are you going to fly down and throw stink-bombs into the PTV office? I’m scared.

Gambaro is pricey, but Ed Sheeran somehow managed to make a pricey-but-affordable meal into a $6,000 tab. How? Well, according to a source who spoke to The Courier-Mail, he was chugging down $1,000 bottles of Penfold Grange (as you do) and treated his party of 10 to barramundi and prawns.

He dined in a private room with his entourage, but was a good bloke and allowed the Gambaro group managing director, John Gambaro, to take a selfie with him.

“Great to have Ed Sheeran at Gambaros tonight,” John captioned the photo.

Which makes me think you call it GAMBARO’S. Not Gambaro? Why does every Aussie city have to have weird shit like this.

John Gambaro was contacted by The Courier-Mail, and told them Ed was a delight.

“He came in with a group of friends and was very polite. What was amazing was that he took the time to speak to all the waiters and people coming through and he was very engaged and very humbled. It’s very easy to see why he’s a superstar — he was excellent (to deal with).”

Apparently Orlando Bloom has also eaten at Gambaro (Gambaro’s?). I do not understand any of this and you know what, when I go to Brisbane I REFUSE to visit purely because now I’m annoyed I wasn’t let in on this secret in the first place.
