Deliveroo know this and so this Easter they’re animorphing hot cross buns with a similarly fantastic culinary creation… bao buns.
They’ve teamed up with five restaurants across the country to create a range of bespoke Hot Cross Bao that’ll be available to order from March 26th through April 2nd.
The reimagined Easter staple in soft and fluffy bao form will be jazzed up with all manner of sweet toppings and innards.
Melbourne‘s Wonderbao will be giving their much-loved bao’s a sweet twist with the Hot x Bao, a photogenic bun with adorned with chocolate cross lashings:
Brisbane‘s BBQ Duck Kitchen have cooked up the Easter Mini Rabbit Bao, a sweet pure bun you’d almost, almost feel guilty devouring:
We’re the wettest over Adelaide restaurant 50SIXONE‘s creation, though. The Ferrero Rocher Steamed Coco Bun is a dizzyingly sweet morsel oozing with Nutella. Just imagine the scent of this breaded good hot outta the microwave:
