Crust’s New Plant-Based Range Is Here For Sausage-Fiends Who Wanna Beat The Meat

Shut the front and back door, Crust has just unleashed a new range of plant-based pizzas and as someone who dabbles in vegetarianism from Monday to Tuesday, I’m positively stoked.

We can all benefit from trimming down our meat consumption (this is coming from someone who has a mouthful of jerky while I type this), so Crust has pulled through with the goods.

As of right now, there will be three brand-spanking, meat-free pizzas featuring on the menu – (not) Beef Royale, Beyond® Sausage, Shepherd’s Lie as well as a fresh Heirloom Tomato Salad.

Everyone needs more sausage in their life if you ask this born-again virgin.

The (not) Beef Royale is loaded with seasoned plant-based beef mince, roasted heirloom tomatoes, sliced onion and mozzarella on a tomato base and topped with burger sauce and pickle slices.

Pickles on a pizza? Colour me intrigued.

If you’re more of a snag fiend, the Beyond® Sausage pizza comes equipped with Beyond® plant-based sausage, caramelized onion, mozzarella and roasted heirloom tomatoes on a tomato base, garnished with basil pesto, buffalo mozzarella and seasoned with salt and pepper.

The Shepherd’s Lie, on the other hand, is crammed with seasoned plant-based beef mince, roasted potato slices, mozzarella, rosemary, caramelized onion and shredded carrot on a garlic and tomato base. You’ll also spy
fresh herbs, parmesan cheese and a drizzle of truffle oil.

It’s also worth noting that all the plant-based pizzas are prepped with a sesame seed crust, which you won’t find on any other pizza so savour the moment.

Give me all of ’em, pronto.

Each XL pizza will set you back about $21, which is an absolute bargain given you’ll be able to silently judge people eating a meat pizza.

Or, if you’re a somewhat decent human being, you’ll just mind your own damn business and eat your plant-based pizza in peace.
