You Can Now Send A ‘Care Kit’ Of Bread And Milk To Loved Ones For A Cheeky $8 On Uber Eats

It goes without saying, it’s been a tough and overwhelming couple of weeks. We know the best way to look after others is by staying at home and although this is true, it can feel like a bit of an oxymoron.

Good guys The Coffee Club have introduced ‘Care Kits’ as of today to help your mates and loved ones in need by delivering them essential food staples. For $8 (plus delivery), you can send someone a standard loaf of bread and a 2L bottle of milk – hot food property these days – via Uber Eats, with dairy free options available for those who need.

The idea is to send one to a person you know who’s struggling to access the basics, either because they can’t leave the house or would have particular difficultly navigating a crowded supermarket. It’s a shit fight trying to get to the supermarket right now so there are sadly a lot of people in this situation.

Uber Eats has also recently introduced a ‘no contact delivery’ option, meaning goods can be dropped off at the door for anyone unwilling or unable to risk social contact.

You can show a little extra love by adding on regular items from the Coffee Club menu like hot coffees, cake and full meals.

Ordering a care kit is as easy as jumping on Uber Eats and adding your address or the address of the friend you are sending the kit to. Search “The Coffee Club”, and the Care Kit will be listed as an item available for purchase (until it sells out for the day).

Spread the love (and the coffee).
