Chin Chin Is Doing Takeaway For The First Time Ever & I’m Weeping For That Butter Chicken

Because we’re clearly at the ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway’ point of 2020 – where everything is made up and the rules don’t matter – there’s been a huge entry into the take-home food scene. Chin Chin is now doing takeaway. No, this is not a drill. Yes, you should put at least one bottle of wine in the fridge right now.

Huge in. Huuuuuuge in.

Starting on Wednesday, those who have been craving the butter chicken curry from the Sydney and Melbourne Chin Chin institutions/ultimate date night spots will be able to order a takeaway feast from both restaurants.

The restaurants already loosened the strict no-reservations reins last week when they started accepting table bookings for the first time but this? This is a gamechanger for those who want to get a little bit fancy in the non-essential shutdown.

I’m already dreaming about dressing up in my nicest clothes and taking myself on a Chin Chin takeaway date on Friday night. Maybe I’ll wrangle a few mates to do the same and we can have a Skype dinner party. OOOOH THERE’S AN IDEA.

So what can we expect on the menu? Think of your faves like the aforementioned butter chicken, that sticky pork with sour herb salad and kicker chilli vinegar, the impossibly delish ped seuw with braised waygu beef, and that ridiculous roasted cauli with curry spiced coconut cream. Christ, I’m literally salivating just thinking about it.

Chin Chin will be taking pick-up takeaway orders from 4pm to 9pm, Wednesday to Sunday, through the dedicated websites for the Sydney restaurant and OG Melbourne eatery, or on the phone. Give Sydney a buzz on (02) 9281 3322, and Melbs on Call (03) 8663 2000.
