The Caramel Choc Paddle Pop – AKA Second Only To Rainbow – Is Making A Comeback

In news that can only mean summer is very much on its way back, benevolent ice cream overlords Streets have dug into their back catalogue to breathe new life into a long-lost favourite: The blessed Caramel Choc Paddle Pop.

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of its initial launch in 1989, Streets is bringing back the beloved Paddle Pop flavour for a limited time, and with original graphics and packaging thrown in for a little extra lick of icy cold nostalgia.

Look at that right there. That’s the good shit, folks. You’d scorch your heels on burning tarmac just to pick one of those bad boys up at the local milk bar back in the day.

The limited-time-only rerelease doesn’t vary from the formula you all probably have burning into your taste memories: a caramel outer layer protecting a slab of precious Paddle Pop chocolate inside. No fuss, no muss.

If you’re keen to get stuck into a one – and why wouldn’t you be – the re-release is being run through Coles and various convenience stores Australia-wide from today onwards.

Even better, it’s carrying some genuine 2009 prices with it, at $1.70 per single serve, or $5.00 for a box of six.

Now all we need is for Agro’s Cartoon Connection to come back and start airing Samurai Pizza Cats again and we’ll really be back in business.
