Ash Barty is a living legend, so it’s no surprise that Vegemite – equally legendary in its owned right – has teamed up with the current singles and doubles world no. 1 to release ‘Bartymite’, a limited-edition jar. Icons supporting icons – my heart is full.
The 23-year-old took to Instagram today to announce the collab. “Mitey proud to be teaming up with @vegemite,” she wrote, “and launching… a limited-edition BARTYMITE jar!”
The 380g limited-edition jar, which will feature Ash’s signature, will be stocked at all the major supermarkets across the nation.
2019 has been an incredible year for our Ash. Aside from the obvious feat of climbing atop the singles and doubles rankings, she was honoured with the ‘Don Award’ at the Sport Australia Hall Of Fame and had her old school announce their plan to name a hall after her. This latest venture just seems like the cherry on top of a stellar year.
Bartymite is slated to hit shelves mid-October (specific date TBH but, given that it’s already the 14th, I’m assuming it’ll be any day now) until it’s all sold out.
Even though I detest the taste of Vegemite (I know, I know, I’m ashamed) I’ll definitely be investing in a limited-edition Barty jar. It’d be rude not to.
