ALDI Is Flogging That Cheap Thermo Cooker Again, Right In Time For Bulk Winter Cookups

I dunno about you but since the age of iso began I’ve been spending my time split between exercising, playing insane amount of Animal Crossing, and cooking. God, so much cooking. Clearly ALDI has picked up on the fact we’re in the kitchen a bunch more these days, because they’ve got a heap of cooking stuff up this weekend, including that thermo cooker which genuinely looks like a hell cheap alternative to the (mucho expensive) Thermomix.

If you cast your mind back to last September, literally seven months ago, you’ll remember the Mistral Thermo Cooker landed into that sacred centre aisle. It basically does all the shit that a Thermomix does except for having an in-built scale, multiple blades, and a sous-vide setting (who would still even have the time/energy) and clocks in at like a tenth of the price of the fancy-ass kitchen gadget.

ALDI thermo cooker
It’s better than…this.

According to the writeup, the eight-in-one contraption includes a steamer, rice cooker, blender, grinder, chopper, mincer, mixer, bread maker and an ice crusher. If you’ve got an isolation goal of wanting to make a perfect loaf of bread, which I definitely do, then this little bad boy is probably a good get.

Hell, you’ve probably saved a chunk of change not going out and getting on the turps every bloody weekend for the last month and a bit, you may as well treat yourself to a little present. A little cooking wizard, as a treat.

The Thermo Cooker goes on sale at your local ALDI this Saturday, April 18, and will set you back a tidy $299.

But the amount of soups, stews, kneaded dough, steamed dumplings (?) you’ll be able to whip together in it is endless. It’ll have paid for itself by the end of winter, I reckon.
