The trailer for the 21 Jump Street movie starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum is pretty funny. So fans of the original Eighties television series should be warned: this is not a remake. It's more of a comic homage to the show, comparable to the Ben Stiller-Owen Wilson take on the 1970s cop show Starsky & Hutch.

The original 21 Jump Street, which starred a young and flawless Johnny Depp, was about an undercover police unit made up of young looking adult cops who pose as high school students to infiltrate the teen drug trade. That ridiculous, entirely unlikely premise is pretty LOL in itself - something which Jonah Hill (who also wrote the screenplay) has evidently made into a recurring gag for the film e.g. Channing Tatum is obviously a rippling muscle man with more than one type of gun smuggled under his clothes and not a high school teenager.

Fans of tv comedy Parks And Recreation will be stoked to see the amazing Nick Offerman (AKA Ron Swanson) in the cast as the chief of police, as well as Ice Cube, Dave Franco and comedian Rob Riggle.

The trailer has its share of NSFW language, so headphones are recommended if you're at work.
