Cherry is a feature film by first time director Stephen Elliott - a writer and publisher best known for his critically acclaimed memoir The Adderall Diaries. Young actress and former model Ashley Hinshaw plays Angelina, an 18-year-old girl on the verge of finishing high school who, through a series of events and relationships, ends up working as a fetish performer under the moniker 'Cherry' in the San Francisco porn industry.

Elliott - himself a former sex industry worker, co-wrote the screenplay with writer and porn performer Lorelei Lee. The solid supporting cast includes James Franco as a wealthy white collar suitor to Angelina, Dev Patel as her best friend, Heather Graham as an adult film director, and Lili Taylor as Angelina's alcoholic mother.

The trailer reveals a very 'independent', DIY feel, but with the impressive cast and intriguing premise it will be interesting to see if it gets a proper distributor and release. Check it out...
