News.
Finally the first taste of Casey Affleck’s doco about the demise/rise of Joaquin Phoenix as an actor/rapper, “I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix”, has been unveiled. The following trailer does little to dispel the rumours that Joaquin's transformation from handsome Oscar nominee to hirsute zany bro was nothing more than an OTT exercise in method acting for the benefit of this movie: it's produced with the swelling emotive music and voiceover of a rabbi spouting existential proverbs of every coming of age Hollywood drama. Whether it's a work of fact or fiction, I'm still keen to see Joaquin Phoenix sniffing rack of a stripper's tits.
'I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix' is due out September.
