Margaret Pomerantz is going to be furious about this one. The notoriously squeamish Australian Classification Review Board has banned another movie. This time the target of their finger-pointing ire is The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence, sequel to the biological horror film about mouth-to-anus sewing experiments The Human Centipede.

The Review Board said "gratuitous, exploitative or offensive depictions of violence" were the catalyst for their banning the film, which had its Australian premiere at the Brisbane International Film Festival earlier this month with an R 18+ rating.

The problem with this decision is that it is not only an affront to the concept of 'free will' and another endorsement for the dangerous practice of banning things, but it also propagates the significant problem of film piracy in Australia - because there's nothing to stop people from illegally downloading the flick at home. Another classic move by the CRB!
