Spike Jonze's apaptation of Maurice Sendak's Where The Wild Things Are has been shrouded in mystery ever since filming wrapped in Victoria last year. There seem to be a number of conflicting reports floating around the www in regards to Warner Bros being unhappy with the original shoots. There has been talk of the film being too dark and unsuitable for a family audience. There has even been talk of Spike Jonze being removed from the project however these seem to be unsubstantiated.

The latest reports have had Warner Bros finishing re-shoots on the film as we speak with 25 extra filming days completed in June. Though don't hold your breath for the results as the film's release date has already been pushed back to late 2009 (hoping that it actually sees the light of day) The first stills released from the film can be seen above/below.
