Jack White is no stranger to supergroups having formed The Raconteurs in the downtime from his day job as The White Stripes' frontman. His latest collective however, may be the super-est of them all bringing together Alison Mosshart of The Kills, Raconteurs bassist Jack Lawrence, and Queen Of The Stone Age guitarist Dean Fertitta.
Dubbing themselves "The Dead Weather" the band combine overdriven blues riffs, and Mosshart's femme fatale purr through a swampy lo-fi murk. Interestingly Jack steps away from the microphone and assumes drumming duties throwing down more chops in one track than Meg does in the entire White Stripes back catalogue.
