In keeping with their vibe, subdued and faintly pastoral Melbourne two piece Oh Mercy have released a subdued and faintly pastoral video for "Get You Back" an ethereal ode to love lost taken from their debut album 'Privileged Woes'.
The clip was filmed while on tour in New Zealand and takes cues from silent films, fables and dream lands. All sentiments Oh Mercy evoke through a luscious brand of off-kilter pop and the endearing semi-squawk of frontman Alexander Gow. This kind of songwriting maturity truly belies Oh Mercy's youth. It's earthy and organic and stately and restrained and the clip's visual components - shadow puppets, birds, shadows and straw couldn't be more appropriate.
